Bukit Brown - an introductory walk in Hills 1 and 3 with Chern Yung and Darren (Jan 5, 9 am)
Stones and bones?
Mosquitoes and who-knows-what-else?
It's all that and more. More than just stones and bones - it's about your story, our history - our heritage. It's about the people who built Singapore. It's about people who broke glass ceilings. It's about who became bankers, doctors, philanthopists and more. You'll be surprised at what the stones in Bukit Brown can tell us: from the shape of the tomb to the inscriptions. And from what is inscribed, to what is NOT inscribe...
This is called an "introductory tour" because there is more focus on the history, heritage and culture found in Bukit Brown. Other walks are more thematic, and will focus more on the stories and ideas of people found in Bukit Brown.
